ALAY KAPWA 2011

ALAY KAPWA - means offering (alay) to our neighbor(kapwa) who we are and what we have as an expression of our solidarity wiht the poor.

As exemplified by Christ's death on the cross, the offering  of one's self to others is the guiding spirit behind the AK Program. Thus. all of us are called to SHARE our TIME, TALENT, and TREASURE.

Share yourself with others:

* Join your parish's or school's action program.

* Save a Fraction of your allowance to be given to the poor through ALAY KAPWA.

* Spend time with the sick, the imprisoned, the orphaned, and the elderly.

* Deny yourself something your really enjoy and instead, share it with those in need.

"Because the integrity of Gods' Creation is violated, our people suffer the destruction....
those disasters cannot be traced merely to the uncontrollable powers of nature, but also
to the human greed for short-term economic gain" (PCP II Acts No. 323)

"KAPWA AT KALIKASAN, PANANAGUTAN NATING LAHAT"
(OUR NEIGHBORS AND ENVIRONMENT, OUR RESPONSIBILITY)

CHRIST GAVE HIS LIFEFOR US, WE TOO, THEN OUGHT TO GIVE OUR LIVES FOR OUR BRETHREN. -1Jn. 3:16
